Things to Do

The annual NYC Gay Pride Parade is a colorful celebration of life and love honoring the LGBTQ+ community each June. With celebrations held throughout the city all month long, the parade runs through the Chelsea neighborhood and brings even more incredible energy to the already vibrant community. High Line Park is a 1.45-mile elevated linear park located on a former railway that runs through the Chelsea neighborhood. A connecting foot/bike path winding through the surrounding Manhattan communities, the Highline offers great views of the city and educational experiences to learn about nature and features open-air art installations, and showcases several local businesses along the elevated parkway. The Chelsea Waterside Park is another top destination for outdoor experiences within the city and offers picnic areas, water fountains and play areas for kids and dogs, and turf fields for various athletic events. 

Located along the Hudson River, Chelsea Piers is a series of piers that were once used as passenger ship terminals in the early 20th century. Today, the Piers are home to a gigantic playground for over 25 different sports and recreational opportunities. Take a yoga class, learn to ice skate, or join a team and have an awesome time letting loose and playing at Chelsea Piers.
