Local Lifestyle

Living in Palm Beach is like living on an island paradise. With incredible views, incredible food, and luxurious amenities within reach no matter where you live, Palm Beach has it all, and then some. Known for its lavish lifestyle and exclusivity, this charming Florida community is bursting with class and style. From perfectly manicured lawns and streets lined with palm trees to sprawling waterfront mansions and vibrantly colored historic residences, the Palm Beach neighborhood is perfect for those who daydream about beachfront access, luxury homes, and a quiet lifestyle. Within Palm Beach, you’ll find three lively neighborhoods.

Estate

Palm Beach’s Estate neighborhood exemplifies opulence. From the rows of privacy hedges to its sweeping, namesake estates, this manicured corner of the community is quintessentially Palm Beach.

Here, you’ll find two of Palm Beach’s most recognizable country clubs, both with highly-coveted memberships. The Mar-a-Lago Club is a breathtakingly elegant social club with world-class dining, championship golf, and best-in-class amenities. Not only is Bath & Tennis Club one of Palm Beach’s oldest country clubs, but it’s one of the most exclusive clubs in the nation.

In Town

Throughout Palm Beach’s interior community, you’ll find its lively cultural scene blends seamlessly with its charming history. This centrally-located community is a hub for life in Palm Beach.

Worth Avenue has a unique history and reputation as one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the world, flanked with gorgeous pastel-colored Spanish Colonials and the ocean offset in the distance. Featuring high-end retailers like Saks, Tiffany’s, and Chanel, Worth Avenue is the place to see and be seen. The Royal Poinciana Plaza blends high-end luxury with locally owned boutiques and can be found in the Royal Poinciana Way Historic District. Here, you can shop Hermes, Cartier, and Oscar de la Renta, or browse unique artworks at Acquavella Gallery.

Here, you’ll find numerous renowned eateries that you won’t want to miss. The iconic Cafe L’Europe has been a beloved Palm Beach institution for over 40 years. With a European-trained culinary team, the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean are thoughtfully presented in each dish using fresh, local ingredients. While the menu may be sophisticated, don’t worry about dressing to the nines in order to keep your reservation. Sant Ambroeus Restaurant is a “celebrated pasticceria and confetteria” with multiple locations all over the world. Start your day with a legendary cappuccino, meet with friends over a mouthwatering lunch, or enjoy a refined meal in an elegant dining space for dinner and drinks. Whether a culinary enthusiast or a novice seeking a fresh experience, Sant Ambroeus’ dynamic cuisines paired with classic dining traditions are sure to satisfy all palates and cravings. Named the “hottest corner in Palm Beach” by Departures Magazine, La Goulue Restaurant offers an apéro menu, fantastic brunch on the weekends, and meticulously prepared French cuisine in a lively and “bistro-chic” setting.

Like all of Palm Beach, In Town is home to an esteemed, coveted lifestyle. The Everglades Club is a private club that spans 90-acres in the heart of Palm Beach, known for its unique architecture and exclusive membership. It’s been a long-standing facet of Palm Beach since opening in 1919. New this year, Carriage House is a new social club promising drink destinations and fine dining.

For a breath of fresh air, head to the Municipal Beach.

North End

If you prefer a laid-back lifestyle, Palm Beach’s North End is right for you. With a cabana lifestyle that’s perfect for anyone who loves spending their days on the sandy beaches, North End is also a fantastic fit for families. Here, residents enjoy secluded privacy and a slower pace of living that caters to the area’s peaceful demeanor.

North End is home to several clubs, including Sailfish Club of Florida, Palm Beach Country Club, and The Beach Club. No matter your interests, you’ll find a club that suits you. North End is also a fantastic spot for soaking up the Florida sunshine. Avid surfers will love taking their boards down Reef Road for some of the city’s best swells.

Things to Do

Founded in 1936, the Society of the Four Arts is a non-profit charity organization dedicated to providing the community with cultural happenings year-round. Home to beautiful gardens and two libraries, the Society of the Four Arts focuses on art exhibitions, speakers, concerts, films, and educational programs, many of which are available in-person and online. With something to experience for all ages, it’s no wonder the Society of the Four Arts is the hub of the Palm Beach community.

Founded in 1896, The Breakers Hotel was founded by Henry M. Flagler, one of America’s greatest industrialists, who started the trend of grandiose buildings throughout the Palm Beach community. He wanted an oceanfront paradise, “right at the breakers,” and so the hotel was born. Today, The Breakers is a luxury destination offering gorgeous accommodations, award-winning restaurants, golf and tennis courts, a world-class spa experience, and convenient high-end shopping on site. Once you stay, you’ll never want to leave.

To learn more about the history of Palm Beach, visit the Flagler Museum. Steeped in history and glamor, Whitehall, the family home of Henry Morrison Flagler, is a prime example of a luxurious Gilded Age home and now features dozens of artifacts and exhibits showcasing his life’s work to build the Palm Beach community. A National Historic Landmark, a trip to the Flagler Museum is worth it just to walk through the rooms and admire the stunning architecture.

With its stately, pastel pink facade, The Colony Hotel is a classic Palm Beach gem. A fashionable boutique hotel located steps from the beach and a short bike ride from Worth Avenue, this iconic Florida masterpiece has been nothing but bright and welcoming since its inception in 1947. Offering famous cocktails, expertly designed rooms sure to put a smile on your face, and impeccable dining services, it’s no wonder many residents decide to spend a weekend getaway at this chic and charming boutique hotel.
